Kinda dropped the ball...

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. I've been busy!
Today's images were randomly chosen from vacations that I have been on over the past year. Enjoy!

Image 1: Taken in Downtown Alexandria, VA. That area is absolutely beautiful!
Image 2: One of my favorite images I have ever taken. Obviously it was taken at the Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C. I love that memorial and I wanted to make an image that was different. I think I accomplished that. (This image was accepted into the 2007 Louisiana Tech School of Art Student Show)
Image 3: Everyone takes the typical monument pic, and I'm no exception, but I also like to try to get a different take. My dad graciously let me move him around until I framed the Space Needle just where I wanted it.
Image 4: This was taken at a man-made lake on a military base in the northern part of Washington State.
Image 5: Taken at Pike's Market in Downtown Seatte, Washington.

Images from Paris

For today's images I decided to share a few from my recent trip to Paris. I went as part of the "French Quarter" program (http://www.) , sponsored by the Art Department here at Tech. We spent three amazing weeks exploring the art and culture of Paris. These few images don't do the trip justice, so I may post more pics in the future.

Image 1 was taken on top of the Arc de Triomphe. The view from the top was one of my favorites.
Image 2 is of fellow Tech students admiring the monstrous paintings in one of the hallways in the Louvre.
Image 3 is of the Venus de Milo . Instead of getting the picture that everyone has (and I took in addition to this one), I like to try to find a fresh angle.
Image 4 was taken in front of the Mona Lisa. I found the crowd surrounding the painting to be more interesting that the painting itself.
Image 5. The Tour Eiffel!! The cannons are part of a huge water fountain.

Tomorrow's post: it's a secret!

Wrecks around Ruston

Sorry I haven't been on the ball about this; things have been crazy around here!

Within the past two days there have been two major car wrecks on US 167. Yesterday it involved a dump truck running into the back of another big rig, which then ran into the back of a petroleum truck. Thankfully no one was seriously injured. The first two images are from this wreck.

The second two images are from a wreck that happened this morning. There were two trucks and a Pathfinder involved. The pathfinder ended up on its side.

Tomorrow I plan on posting a few images from my trip to Paris!

new project

Hey guys.  Since there's not alot going on here in Ruston, i've decided to start a new project that will run until school starts back in September.  I got the idea from a fellow yearbook photographer.  Starting tomorrow (July 14th) every day I will post a picture taken around either Tech campus or, due to time constraints, possibly Ruston.  Also, for the month of August the images will be from my hometown, Slidell.

Once school starts I'd like to post more extra behind-the-scenes images from events around Tech, and possibly continue the every-day image.

I'd love any feedback anyone has about this project or anything else viewers would like to see.

Thanks for stopping by!

Here goes nothing!

Hey guys.  This is going to be a kind of behind the scenes look at Tech Talk photography, and whatever else I feel like putting on here.  I'll try to update weekly with some extra shots from events around campus and anything else y'all want to read.  Seriously.  Ask me questions.  I want this to be something people like checking out, so give me feed back!  For the next 24 or so days i'll be posting on my other blog Parisian Adventures.  I'm going to do by best to post every day with a summary of what the group did that day and a few shots.

Au Revoir!
